Let Me Share My Story With Your Community

I speak to churches, community groups, and organizations about breaking free from shame, finding freedom, and transforming from the inside out.

My Story Is My Message

I'm not a polished professional speaker. I'm a mom who ended up in the hospital, thankful she didn't lose everything to alcohol, and found freedom through faith and neuroscience.

I sat where so many in your congregation and community are sitting right now—stuck in shame, afraid to ask for help, hiding behind a smile while dying inside.

Now I'm walking in freedom. And I want to help others walk that path.

When I speak, I'm real. I'm vulnerable. I share the messy parts. Because that's where transformation happens—when someone finally hears "me too" and realizes they're not alone.

Speaking Topics

I'll share my story and how it led me to discovering Affective Liminal Psychology.

What is ALP? ALP is the science of being human. The brain is constantly trying to keep us alive and conserve energy. Because the brain is so busy, it delegates information it "knows" back to the subconscious where it uses far less energy. An example of this is how we drive home without remembering the drive.

Because of this automation, we can and do develop belief systems subconsciously. ALP teaches us specific questions and ways to tune into our subconscious and see what thoughts are there, how those thoughts make us feel emotionally, and then how those emotions drive our behavior.

The 4 Stages of Transformation:

I'll also share the 4 stages—Asleep (you don't know there's a problem but everyone around you does), Aware (the painful stage of recognizing there is a problem but not knowing how to fix it), Awake (aware of the problem and getting some tools to help). This is where traditional programs stop—behavior-based goals of abstinence.

Stage 4 is ALIVE—when you've done the internal work and processed what you were trying to numb previously, and you discover you're living a life you don't want to numb from anymore.

And I'll leave plenty of time for discussion.

What I'll Share With Your Audience

Here's what people walk away understanding:

1

Why shame doesn't belong here.

I'll explain why they don't need to feel shame for their struggle—because addiction is a human response to pain, not a moral failure. This isn't about being weak or broken. It's science.

2

The stages of addiction and recovery.

I break down what's actually happening in the brain and body, so people understand their experience instead of just feeling confused and ashamed by it.

3

The power of the subconscious.

I'll reveal how much we humans really do pay attention to subconscious thoughts without even knowing it—and how tuning into that can be the key for finally breaking free and staying free.

4

Freedom with little effort and much joy.

This isn't about white-knuckling through life. I'll show them how people break free from unwanted habits and addictions for good—with less struggle and more genuine freedom than they thought possible.

Your audience will leave with hope, understanding, and practical tools they can use immediately.
