I help Christians break the cycle by addressing what's really driving your habits—through Christ-centered coaching that heals shame, renews your mind, and restores your relationship with God.

You're tired of the cycle. The promises you make to yourself and to God that you can't seem to keep. The shame that follows every time you go back. The voice asking, "What's wrong with me?"
Maybe you're stuck in a rut you can't explain—wake up, push through the day, reach for the thing that numbs the pain, sleep, repeat. Life has lost its flavor. You've lost your place.
My friend, you are here for such a time as this—to learn the "something new" you've been praying for, just like I was.

June 2021

Dec 2024
The 3am wake-ups. The panic. The voice saying, "You did it again. What's wrong with you? You'll never be able to quit this. How did you get here?"
Feeling like two different people—the person you want to be, and the one you're ashamed of.
I sat where you're sitting. Until the day I ended up in the hospital alone and realized: it was now or never. It was me against the enemy of my soul. I had to fight for my life—for my sake and my kids' sake.
That's when everything changed. Not through willpower alone. Not through shame. But by finally learning how—not just what to do.
Now I'm here to show you how too.
You're not uniquely broken. You've simply been caught being human. You got stuck in a pattern that your brain adapted to, and shame kept hidden.
When I heard this truth—that I wasn't fundamentally defective—something inside me started to shift. The anger I'd been directing at myself, I finally aimed it where it belonged: at the pattern, the lie, the enemy.
And I used that energy to push me toward freedom.
The other truth: I had neglected my relationship with Jesus. I had gone from unintentional to drifting, to very far away. And this new understanding—that it wasn't my fault—helped me shake just enough shame to get started in doing the work that would ultimately change the trajectory of my life in such a way that I am now living in what was once my prayer requests.
True freedom means you're living a life you don't want to numb from and you don't need to add anything to make days "more fun." You don't just resist the thing—you genuinely don't want it anymore.
That's where we're headed.

My approach combines Affective Liminal Psychology (ALP)—neuroscience-backed methodology—with Scripture.
We'll get curious about what's really driving your habits. We'll challenge false beliefs like "once an addict, always an addict." We'll take your thoughts captive to Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5)—and I'll show you how to actually do it.
Over 90% of people who have applied the methods in Affective Liminal Psychology say they have changed their relationship with alcohol for the better.
What Makes This Different:
No shame - Only compassion and curiosity
Faith-integrated - Christ-centered and rooted in prayer and science
Neuroscience-backed - Practical tools, not just motivation
No secret meetings - You won't identify as "in recovery", but rather as one who has been healed and redeemed

"Working with Carol has truly changed the way I see myself and my sobriety. Through her compassion, honesty, and steady support, I’ve been able to reconnect with parts of myself I thought I’d lost. For a long time, I felt like I had turned away from my highest self, just trying to get by and survive. Her presence and insight have made it safe for me to be honest, to feel, and to grow. I finally feel like I’m returning to myself again, grounded, clear, and more aligned with the life I want to live.
I’m deeply grateful for Carol and the way she’s walked beside me through this process. She’s helped me remember who I am underneath it all."

I tried shaming myself into submission. It only made the shame deeper.
I tried blaming everything around me, but the only thing I can control is me.
And of course, I'm not going to judge you for being stuck in an addiction I was once stuck in too. Judgment keeps people stuck. Asking for help shouldn't mean being diagnosed, labeled, or shamed.
You don't need to identify as an "alcoholic" or "in recovery".
You need compassion, education, and tools that work.
That's what you'll find here.
My faith is the foundation of my transformation. I can't tell my story without talking about Jesus.
We'll integrate Scripture and prayer into our work together.
What matters is you're ready to walk in freedom.
"You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." — John 8:32

Because of the skills I learned in ALP and the application of them and daily practice, on my self first, I received this life affirming testimony from a woman I met while doing my favorite thing…. Hearing people's prayer requests, and then praying for them while truly believing God does what He says He'll do and we are who HE says we are! I know this because I'm living it. Sharing this woman, who is become a good friend, text with you is the best way I know to testify of Gods healing and redemptive power!! This text was received right after she found out that the "masses" were benign. And those "masses" were also what kept her in a warm safe home during a brutally cold winter….!!
See? God can, does, and wants to use everything for His glory?!?!
I'd love to walk along side you too as you step into His healing grace.
“I think it is because of you, that more people are letting their guard down and asking for prayer requests. You make it so easy for people like myself to break through their shells and open up to you. I am so grateful beyond words that I met you and you are my friend.
I realize it maybe something private, but I copied that and saved it to my notes app. I will also pray for those mentioned. And the volunteers involved with feed your soul, also. The work you all do is so great, and helps so many people.”
He raised up this once depressed, angry, lonely, drunk person and raised me up to the highest JOY I've ever known.
It's so possible! For YOU TOO!!
